The Butterfly & Metamorphic Transformation in Relationships

The transformation of a caterpillar is amazing when we reflect on the outcome - the butterfly. An array of colors grips the eyes as the butterfly flitters from limb to limb.  Metamorphosis of the butterfly goes deeper than its mere colors. Studies show the caterpillar transforms to a butterfly through several delicate life cycles before becoming fully developed. Similar to a butterfly, relationships may experience a metamorphic transformation through the same delicate process. Early in relationships, healthy development of life cycles is vital toward gaining maturity.  The breakdown of relationships begins when poor life cycle patterns develop. Rebuilding relationships consists of recapturing the process of healthy life cycles.

Sheryl uses the butterfly metaphor to illustrate the process toward healthy relationships. Like the butterfly, relationships may experience a metamorphic transformation of colorful outcomes.  Healthy life cycles increase communication, harmony, intimacy, and closeness (C.H.I.C), promoting an elegant array of beauty between individuals.
